Two films providing a glimpse of India through a unique collection of films, diaries, letters and photographs from the archive of the Centre of South Asian Studies, Cambridge University.

Film One

A collection of almost 300 films which offer a unique glimpse of life in India during the final days of the British Empire is being released online. The complete collection is available for free at http://www.s-asian.cam.ac.uk/archive/films/

Film Two

Britain has had a long history of interaction with India from the 17th century until the present day. During that time, a large number of Britons who lived in the region documented their lives using diaries, letters and photos, many of which have found their way into the archive of the Centre of South Asian Studies in Cambridge.
