Four months since the last time out to reflect on progress, this is a review of the past few months. It’s easy to lose track of information and begin getting confused by it all, so this is another quick summary of:

(1) Where is the Anglo-Indian Project up to?

and

(2) What next for the Anglo-Indian Project?

This summary will focus on progress since the last review posted on 28 April 2017.

WHERE IS THE ANGLO-INDIAN PROJECT UP TO?

27 posts have been published since 28 April – taking the overall Anglo-Indian Project posts total to 265 – with a strong focus on context and resources. Links to the posts can be found below (number of posts in brackets):

WHAT NEXT FOR THE ANGLO-INDIAN PROJECT?

After a break through August 2017, the Anglo-Indian Project returns with plenty of information and insight to share. Continuing with posts on Wednesdays and Fridays – this will be reviewed going forward.

The pool of draft posts is currently over 160 waiting to be finalised and posted. New ancestors have been discovered – with a few records still to be gathered – and will appear on the AIP blog when they are completed. This will inevitably open up further lines of enquiry and the discovery of new records and information.

It’s almost one year since the trip to Bombay (Mumbai) in 2016. Many posts are still in the making which reflect on the trip and have already raised a number of questions which will lead to a return to India – possibly in 2018.

Hopefully this summary is a useful point to pause and reflect.
