This post is part of the Anglo-Indian Project Christmas series 2016.
The Anglo-Indian Project began as an exploration to find some records of my ancestors. The hope was to find any records about my grandparents and maybe their parents. Anything else would be a bonus. After finding seven generations worth of records and accumulating an (ever-increasing) mass of family items (such as, photographs, letters, diaries) it felt appropriate to start this blog documenting progress.
The project is focused on researching the Anglo-Indian heritage of Elaine Cynthia Wheeler, Nana,
however, has a broader vision to promote the Anglo-Indian community and keep the fire burning for a community rich in history and importance for the contemporary world.

Dan, it has been a real pleasure watching your blog and research grow. It has given an authentic and interesting insight into the Anglo-Indian community and I look forward to reading more in 2017.
Much appreciated, Dave. 2017 should be an exciting time for the Anglo-Indian community if the planned UK-India Year of Culture gets the backing and support it deserves (i.e. not just a politically-driven initiative). Thinking cap is on here. Will see where it leads in 2017.
